The
Virtual Education web site contains
almost 500 computer-based training courses
to assist schools in teaching technology,
not only to teachers, but to students
and parents as well. Because many schools
lack the qualified instructors to teach
advanced level computer curricula, many
have already adopted these courses as
part of their regular curriculum. Our
courses are Microsoft Certified and WASC
approved for graduate and undergraduate
college credit. Students can receive
instruction in Desktop Computing, SAT
preparation, and economics as well as
technical training in A+ certification,
networking, web development and many
other application programs.
|
Currently, VIP provides
computer-based training courses for teachers
across the nation. We have trained numerous
teachers in Florida, as well as many in Minnesota,
Tennessee, California and other states across
the nation. These teachers leave our programs
professionally trained in technology, enabling
them to easily integrate this training in
their curriculum. In addition, we continue
to work with schools to advise them about
technology programs, hardware and software
purchases, e-Rate government grants etc.
|
Our computer-based
courses can also be offered to all 6th & 8th
graders using the Desktop Computing Series.
Through this comprehensive foundational series,
students learn computer-basics, word-processing,
Internet proficiency, and desktop publishing.
Unlimited access to over 122 available courses
carries only one fee of $100/year (12 months).
By the time the students reach high school
age, they will be ready to move on to more
advanced courses, including A+ Certification,
which enables students to work at rates of
$15 to $20 per hour while attending high
school. In addition to A+, many other programs
are also available to students. High school
students, for example, may elect to receive
college credit through La Sierra University.
